"The Spring" ring guard is an ingenious design that allows an easy cost effective way to allow you to resize your ring. This ring guard automatically adjusts using a hidden leaf spring that offers firm, even tension. Just put the ring guard inside the lower part of the band and fold tabs over snug to the band.
The 2mm size is best suited for band widths 1.6 - 2mm with an inside diameter of no less than 16mm to accommodate the 15.7 mm width of the sizer (not recommended for anything smaller than a size 7). To order the correct size measure the width of the lower part of the band of your ring and order the matching ring guard width, ex 2mm ring guards fit perfectly over 2mm bands.
Gold filled is not gold plated. Gold filled wears just like solid gold and in the case of these spring ring guards they are 14k white gold filled. The gold is approximately 100 times thicker than gold plate. With normal wear and tear the karated gold will never tarnish, chip or wear off. Stamped 1/20 14k GF.

I don't usually buy anything that doesn't already have a review because I want to know what I'm getting myself into. But I have seen the same gaurd reviewed by the same maker just different size. Soo anyway it took me less than 2 minutes to get the ring guard on. I put it on top of my ring and pushed the little tapes down. I could actually do it with my fingers but did use plyers to get it tighter. It's comfortable and my ring isn't going anywhere without my purposely taking it off. It actually is kind of hard to get off and easy to get it on(I know thats kind of weird). It's a good fit and you wouldn't even know I had it on if I didn't want you to.
